Kathy and Tim,
Thank you so very much for providing a wonderful home for Oscar
fir 3 1/2 years. We are so very grateful for the love and care the
folks at Twin Oaks have always given him. God's Blessings to you
in your new ventures too
With Gratitude,
Chris and Al Bargen
Oscar too :)
Russ asked Fr. Joe for his opinion and he gave it to Russ
and then Russ resonded to us
Dear Russ,
First of all, you have my prayers for your mom.
Secondly, as regards Twin Oaks Estate…while I don't know much
about the details or costs, I can speak to the heart that is there.
The priests of Assumption say Mass there every month, and, as you
know the residents who are able to be transported to Assumption
join us here weekly for Mass. The gift that I find in Twin Oaks
is their great respect for the dignity for every person and a genuine
care for them. I don't know if that answers your questions but I've
long loved Mary Ann Huber and Tim and Kathy Blattel (who are the
main folks to help run it). They are truly good and holy.
God bless you.
In Jesus,
Fr. Joe
Tim,
A heart felt thank you for the QUALITY time that you spent with
us yesterday. I wanted to share with you Fr. Joe’s response
when I asked him of Twin Oaks. The affirmation below is most deserving.
Assumption parish is awesome and lives by the words, “May
you find Christ here… May you bring Christ to the world”.
Thank you for bringing Christ to the world thru Twin Oaks estate!
I relish the thought of mom at Twin Oaks and know that she will
truly call it home. Please give20Rho Ann a special hug and thank
you from all of us as well. I look forward to many years of friendship
as God has blessed us and placed us at Twin Oaks with many wonderful
people!
God’s blessings,
Russ Schaller
My dad has been at Twin Oaks for over three years now. What a blessing
this has been for him and for our family. Being there has allowed
him to be in the only town that is familiar to him, and more importantly,
close to my sisters who can check on him frequently.
Twin Oaks has become Dad’s home, where he
feels safe and secure. Since it is not possible for any of us to
care for him full time, we are ever thankful that he is so well
cared for in your facility. And after looking at other facilities,
we all know who blessed we are to have him there.
I know that caring for the elderly is a difficult,
challenging job. I admire you and your staff for the excellent job
you do in caring for the people entrusted to your care. It is truly
a vocation, and a gift that you have been given.
We all felt at Christmas that Dad may not be able
to stay at Twin Oaks any longer. Your willingness to give him a
chance to stay means so much to us.
I pray that Dad will be able to continue to make
Twin Oaks his home for a long time. And I pray for you and your
staff that you continue to have perseverance and satisfaction in
your chosen work.
Sincerely,
Brenda McSherry
I wanted to write you and
everyone at Twin Oaks, to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation
for everything you and your staff has done for my father. The care
he received while there is second only to the wonderful friendships
he made during his stay. I only wish it could have been longer.
Returning to his “second-home” doesn’t seem likely
at this time, but if God grants him better health, I will make sure
he returns to Twin Oaks.
Sincerely,
Joe Espinoza
I wanted to take this opportunity to express
my heart-felt thank you to you, your family, and the terrific staff
at Twin Oaks. When looking for a place for mom to move to, it felt
“like home” the moment we stepped into the lobby of
Twin Oaks and that’s exactly what it became for mom. So many
fun events and so many cherished memories that it is difficult for
all of us to say goodbye.
